10m QRSS QRPP Beacon
2008
This is a simple and short page that describes my 10m beacon.
Frequency: 28.32222 MHz
Mode: CW QRSS3 (3s/dot) with CW ID+info
Operational: 24/7. Started on 2 June 2007.
Location: SE Italy, Bisceglie (Bari), JN81gf (GoogleMaps)
Power: 100 milliWatt (0.1W)
Antenna: Vertical Dipole 1/2 lambda on balcony
Message: 18WPM CW ID followed by a codeletter at 3s dot.
Details: Homebrew beacon based on "Fireball 40" and N7KSB's designs. (picture here). Uses a 28.322 MHz canned oscillator and a 74HC240 power amplifier followed by a Pi-L low-pass filter. Keyed with PicBeacon software on a PIC 16F84. A schematic diagram is freely available for non-commercial purposes.
