Vertical Loop for 80-6 Meters

loop antennas have always fasci nated me. From a common sensestandpoint they seem impossible.I mean, how can you have a short circuitat the output of your transceiver

Yet another delta loop antenna

I decided to try a loop antenna and I only had one mounting point on the paneling, so I used tape to make a triangle, but if I used an equilateral triangle as in all of the antenna books, I would have to put a nail in the middle of the paneling

Delta loop rotable for 40 m

the delta loop has an impedance of about 100-120 ohms. a quarter wave of 75 ohm coax is used to transform the impedance down closer to 50 ohms

#### Delta Loop antenna 80-30m

84 m Total Wire Length (L1 + L2 + L3) - 28 m Triangle Length (L1 = L2 = L3) - 10.56 m 75ohm coaxial length

**Take off angle of horizontal antenna** For horizontal polarization, the electric field will move sideways on a horizontal plane, while for vertical polarization it will oscillate up and down on a vertical plane
