Vertical antenna balloon for the 80m band
The antenna could not be simpler - 1/4 or 1/2 wavelength of thin copper wire, used 35 SWG enamalled copper wire. This amounts to 20 or 40m of wire. It is carefully coiled up on the wire spool with one end soldered to a tag. When the balloon is let free it pulls the wire from the spool and it goes up at a nice slow pace. Once up, a croc-clip goes from the ATU coil to the solder tag - the antenna is connected

80 Meter Tower Vertical with Short Radials
The modelled resistance component of the feed point impedance at 3.65 MHz is 80 ohm. It is high due to ground loss and being well off resonance. I chose to simply place a capacitor load in series with tower monopole, chosen to have a reactance of equal magnitude to the inductive reactance of 44 ohm at 3.65 MHz. This requires a capacitor of 1000 pf
Single Support Gain Antennasfor 80 and 160 Meters
Examples of antenna ,Sloper Arrays, having a tower
Antenna vertical for 80m Ground Plane
The 80m GP is made from the base of a Valcom fiberglass antenna that I was able to get through government surplus for a good price. The fiberglass base is 17ft long and the rest was made from aluminum that I had gathered over the years and some specially purchased tubes
Dual Band Antenna 40-80m
PVC Diameter 50mm, total coil turns 78, wire 1.25 mm, for PVC size Diameter 42mm (1 1/4′) the number of turns 89 turns around 100uh
Dual band vertical antenna for 80 meter and 160 meter
Use a 22 meters spiderbeam fiberglass mast with an insulated wire slightly wrapped around it
