Simple Building and Tuning of Traps
Traps are useful for multiband operating of all kinds of antennas
Some hints/tips on how to assemble nice COAX TRAPS
Coax traps are cheap, easy to assemble in a reproducible manner, very rugged, perfect for portable or permanent operation, on dipoles, inverted-V's etc
Build a 12/17 Meter Trap Dipole
Why a 12/17 meter rotatable dipole? Well, many folks have verticals for the lower bands, and multiband dipoles or beams for 20 15 and 10 meters. But often you don't have an antenna for the 17 and 12 meter bands
Coil Q Measurements
I sprayed the antenna down with water to check for detuning, and lost 4dB of signal in my field strength tests
